Canadian Disability Tech Consortium

The Canadian Disability Tech Consortium (CDTC) is a coalition of organizations supporting startups across disability, aging, and rehabilitation. The Consortium brings together key Canadian organizations to share resources, provide insights, and strengthen collaboration across Canada’s disability innovation ecosystem.

Where Innovation Meets Accessibility

Canada has a growing number of organizations supporting startups in areas such as mobility, aging, cognition, vision, rehabilitation, and related fields. But too often, these efforts happen in parallel.
The Canadian Disability Tech Consortium is a national coalition convened by Access to Success to strengthen collaborative innovation across disability, aging, and rehabilitation sectors. Through shared insights, stronger connections, and ecosystem-wide initiatives, we are helping build a more connected path to scale for disability innovation in Canada.

What the Consortium Does

Quarterly Roundtables

ATS hosts regular roundtables where consortium members share updates on programming, funding calls, startup pipelines, priorities, and partnership opportunities.

Ecosystem Intelligence

By bringing together organizations working across disability, aging, brain health, rehabilitation, and related sectors, the Consortium helps members stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities across the national landscape.

Collaboration Opportunities

The Consortium creates space to identify joint activities, connect complementary programs, and support startups more effectively across different stages and sectors.

National Convening

Beyond private roundtables, the Consortium also connects with the broader ecosystem through public initiatives such as the Accessibility Innovation Exchange.

Accessibility Innovation Exchange

The Accessibility Innovation Exchange (AIX) brings startups, funders, researchers, and ecosystem partners together with many of Canada’s leading disability innovation organizations in one room.
Hosted by Access to Success as part of the Canadian Disability Tech Consortium, AIX is designed to help people make real connections across the ecosystem faster, with reverse pitches, practical insights, and direct access to the organizations shaping disability, aging, and rehabilitation innovation in Canada.

For startups and partners, AIX is a chance to meet the major players, understand where opportunities exist, and build relationships that can lead to funding, support, partnerships, and growth.
AIX takes place in Toronto in late spring each year.
