“Our friends, peers, and colleagues understand disabilities and abilities better”

“The leaders of tomorrow are empathetic and aware of the benefits of accessibility and inclusion”

“We promote equal access for people with disabilities, the same way we do for any equity-seeking group”

Together, we can change the way disabilities and abilities are perceived

Our Story

Our story began in September 2016 at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. We met in our first year of the MBA program and immediately connected over a common concern. We noticed something lacking in the way graduate business schools demonstrated diversity and inclusion in their communities. There was no denying their conscious efforts and careful attention towards diversity of culture, race, gender, and sexual orientation, all of which were reflected in the admissions process and student club infrastructure. However, we couldn’t find a single school that exhibited the same level of attention towards inclusion of students with visible or invisible disabilities. We realized that for MBA education to be truly inclusive, something needed to change.

In January 2017, we officially launched Access to Success at Rotman and have since been building our presence through workshops, programs and partnerships with like-minded organizations. Our mission is threefold: to empower MBA students with disabilities to become successful business leaders, foster inclusion and allyship in business schools, and help organizations understand the business case for accessibility.
